REVIEW BY ELIZABETH TUCKER (TEACHER): "Miss Pistachio's Big Day is a wonderful biligual book for elementary age children. Written in English, with a complete Spanish translation, this book would also be excellent to read to younger children preparing to start school. The heartwarming story endears you to the main character and children will enjoy the illustrations portraying various backgrounds. I recommend this book for everyone. It should be in every Lower school library in the country, as well as Middle and Upper School Spanish classes."
REVIEW BY TRACY TOWLE (MARKETING CONSULTANT): "Miss Pistachio's Big Day is a beautiful, sweet and clever book filled with a wonderful story and creative illustrations. Children and adults can learn from this book as it is written in English and translated on the bottom of every page in Spanish. I highly recommend this book for every elementary school classroom. Congratulations to author Miriam Rutland!"
REVIEW BY TRACI (FIRST GRADE ASSISTANT TEACHER): "Miss Pistachio's Big Day is a must have for children. It is a book written from the teacher's perspective and lets children know that going to school isn't only an important day for them, it is for the teacher too. This book was obviously written from the heart by someone who loves children (the illustrations are great too). I highly recommend it."
REVIEW BY JULIE RUBEN (TEACHER): "My students loved the book and so did I. I was able to identify with the story and especially loved the vocabulary. The pictures are adorable and the story is very easy to follow. It appeals to all ages. We had great discussions about the story and choice of words that were used. I highly recommend the book."

REVIEW BY A LIBRARIAN: "When the school year starts there's always excitement and a little anxiety about how the teacher will be. But what if you were lucky enough to be assigned to Miss Pistachio's class? You'd know you were in store for a wonderful year! A teacher who doesn't sit and chat with her teacher friends during recess, but gets out there with her kids! A teacher who is ready for any mishap that may come your way from missing lunch money to missing your mom. Three cheers for Miss Pistachio!"
